Milei Enters Rosario Central Championship Dispute, Backing Estudiantes

Buenos Aires, November 20 (NA) – Amid the controversy sparked by Rosario Central's championship, the President of Argentina, Javier Gerardo Milei, once again entered the public debate and decided to repost a message on X that backed the opposition sector, led by Estudiantes de La Plata and its president, Juan Sebastián Verón.

As reported by the Argentine News Agency, the La Plata team firmly stated that no vote, meeting, or formal agreement was held to recognize the 'Canalla' as champion for the Annual Table.

The situation ignited controversy and divided the Argentine football environment. In this context, Milei took sides and publicly aligned with the president of Estudiantes' position, amplifying the discussion on social media and adding a political flavor to a dispute that was already fraught with tension.

His intervention did not go unnoticed and generated even more noise in a scenario that promises to continue adding chapters.

Through a statement, the club made it clear that the topic was never discussed in the Professional League's Executive Committee, thus denying any institutional approval to grant a title that was not won on the field.

In this way, Verón's stance aims to strip legitimacy from an achievement that, according to Central, should have been theirs due to accumulated sporting merit, but which, for the 'Pincha', lacks regulatory basis.
